Applications to vary Supreme Court orders have been made including applications involving a consideration of Rule 36.16 of the Uniform Civil Procedure Rules and principles ensuring finality of litigation, including principles at common law as stated in Smith v New South Wales Bar Association (1992) 176 CLR 256 at 265.
